Parque da Floresta
Walking distance from Villa Santa Maria, Parque da Floresta is said to be one of Europe's most spectacular golf courses. It has an infinite variety of holes, and fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and the Atlantic Ocean. It's designed by former Spanish amateur champion Pepe Gancedo, (architect of the well-known Torrequebrada course near Malaga in Spain). As it was virtually carved out of the hills, many of the natural contours have been retained. The course has a dress code which includes soft spikes.
